Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

  1. Always make sure the area is clean and dry. Otter Grooming Co. Tattoo Aftercare Balm is best if used right after a shower or before bed. Gently apply your tattoo balm, covering the entire tattoo.
  2. Remember, less is more. With a fresh tattoo it can be tempting to apply too much aftercare product, however this can prevent your skin from breathing. Your skin can only absorb a so much moisturizer so a thin layer is all you need. Wipe off any extra.
  3. Tattoo itching happens, but do not apply to any scabs or areas that are very moist within the tattoo.
  4. Repeat applying your tattoo balm approximately two to three times a day, for the first two weeks.
  5. After your tattoo healing process has finally finished, you should continue to use of your tattoo aftercare balm once a day. The sun makes tattoos fade much quicker over time and we recommend using your tattoo balm as a high-powered moisturizer to protect your ink.
